当学生们阅读完课文，白杨在黑板上的部署也刚好结束，于是，他又对学生们说道：
“OK, class, now look at the question clues on the blackboard, and then we'll do the interview.”
他的意思是说，“好了，同学们，现在请看黑板上的问题线索，然后我们进行采访活动。”
两分钟过后，他观察到学生们几乎都看完了，便宣布说： “Time is up, now let's start the interview. First, I will start the interview according to the first clue. The interviewee must answer my questions. And then the other students volunteer to get up and go to the other students and ask the next clue question, and so on. You can refer to the text when you answer the questions,okay?”
白杨用简练的语言，打着手势，指着黑板，学生们很容易就听懂了他表达的含义： “时间到，现在开始采访，首先从我开始，我根据第一条线索进行采访，被采访者必须回答我的问题。然后，其他同学自愿起身找到别的同学问及下一个线索问题，以此类推.回答问题时你们可以参考课本内容，好吗？”
“Ok.”学生们异口同声地答道。
白杨这次从中间走廊入手，对左手第三桌的一位女同学问道：“Hi, what kinds of sports do the young people like in Mr. Johnson's country? ”
这位同学感觉老师的问题非常简单，也没有参看教材，就直接作出答复，没有丝毫拖泥带水之态。
“Most young people in his country go in for some physical activities. It may be walking, cycling , swimming, skating ,or skiing. It may be a game of football, hockey, golf, or tennis. It may be mountaineering. ”
白杨对他的表现非常满意，举起大拇指大声赞叹道： “Well done！”
这位女同学受到白杨的表扬，心情美美哒，于是，没有征求老师的意见就转过身去，走到他们班里一位男同学身旁问道： “Hi,Wang tao,,which is the popular game in Mr.r Johnson's country? And are there any famous stars in the game?
看来这位男同学受到她的感染，也不甘示弱，起身就答: “Hi,Yang shan,the most popular game in his country is basketball. NBA is well known to the world and it has a long history. Many first-class basketball players all over the world have been absorbed in and many noted basketball stars have produced, such as Jordan, Shaquille O 'Neal，Karl Maloneg, etc. ”
“That's wonderful. Let's give him a round of applause, boys and girls！”
原来这位女同学杨珊非常了解班里同学状况，她特意找到了男同学王涛，因为他是学校篮球明星，并非常了解世界篮球巨匠的名字。
“太精彩了，同学们，给他鼓鼓掌吧！”
提到世界篮球巨星，同学们兴奋至极，尤其是男同学，个个擦拳磨掌，跃跃欲试，课堂气氛到了高潮。
